Pacco – Zonling Window Film
Sputtering – nanotechnology.
Our Window Film is created using international high-end rotary multi-layer precious metal sputtering equipment, combined with core technologies from in-house research. We are able to achieve sputtering on more than ten layers of nano-scale precious metal (eg. silver, gold,) coating using optical grade base material, resulting in high degrees of insulation and clarity with low refraction through isolation and screening of heat and light in different metals.
Our technology is thus based on heat reflection, which is important to effectively insulate heat.
Other Window Films in the Market
Common Metals
Most metallic window films are made out of common metals like aluminum, nickel or bronze. These metals can insulate some heat but is highly reflective which makes it difficult for light to come in, and difficult to see at night. Also, common metals are not deposited evenly on low quality films.
Non-Metals
The other common type of films are usually dyed or ceramic films. These films main type of heat insulation technology is absorption of heat. Imagine a sponge absorbing heat instead of reflecting heat. Even cheaper non-metals like dyed film will have color fading problems. Better performing non-metals like nitrates can reject some heat but they are typically darker, more absorptive and the surface of the film may be prone to thermal cracks and lines.
The ultimate question to ask when selecting what type of film is how much are you willing to pay – would you prefer a cheaper film with limited heat insulation performance and wears out quickly or a more expensive film but is highly effective and durable.
Solar Film is not a cheap investment and consumers want to get their bang for the buck. We understand this…
