Choosing a perfect window film.

Window Film is a complex product to fully understand. From IR Rays, Visible Light Transmission, Exterior/Interior Light Reflection, Total Solar Energy Rejected..these terms are often hard to fully understand.

If the customer cannot understand these terms, how do you then choose the perfect window film? And not let any dishonest dealer “scam” and offer you overpriced films?

Today, we will go through some important points to take note when choosing window film. The key things are 1) Always test and test, compare and compare the actual window film. 2) Ask any questions!

1) Arguably the most important and the most obvious way when choosing a film is to test the film itself and with other films! How do you then test? Testing is not through meters or data and specifications. Testing is done through simulating the whole process when you apply the film onto a glass and shining a heat lamp through it. In this way, you can truly feel how much heat passes through the film + glass! Not only you can feel how much heat passes through, you can also decide the “darkness” of your film, and see the appearance when applied onto your glass. Thus we always do a free on site visit to do this testing. There is no point quoting online/over the phone, as anyone can just quote the cheapest and lousiest film to you.

2) Asking questions! I met a customer recently and I told her to ask any questions to understand more about window film. If your dealer/supplier cannot answer your questions, how can they be professional to sell you their window film? An honest dealer though will go the extra mile and explain everything, ranging from the types of window films to reading the specific details/data.

Choosing a reliable and honest dealer is difficult. Most dealers out there are “hiding” information from customers, not fully explaining everything.
